Basketball Wives Producers to Sue Jennifer Williams?

Producers of VH1's Basketball Wives are thinking about filing a lawsuit against cast member Jennifer Williams for publicly trashing the reality show.

After Jennifer Williams sued Nia Crooks for slapping her in the face while taping an episode (below), VH1 reportedly became absolutely livid with her.

Now producers are ready rebut Williams' legal and media rampage, during which she said the show portrays African-American women negatively.

Producers feel Williams' lawsuit is frivolous - her contract says she waives such a right to sue based on physical confrontations, the network says.

Moreover, her explicit show-bashing is in violation of her contract, which forbids cast members from doing media appearances or press without approval.

Or speaking negatively about the show, which the nut job clearly has.

VH1 feels J-Dubs is "ruining the brand" they worked so hard to build, which is hilarious, but actually not a legal stretch if she's in breach of contract.

Crooks, for her part, was charged with battery for the slap. Really.

'Think Like A Man' Takes Box Office For Second Week

'The Pirates! Band of Misfits' and 'Five-Year Engagement' also made the top five, with highly anticipated 'The Avengers' opening next weekend.

It was the calm before the storm at the box office over the weekend. "The Avengers" smashed records as the Marvel/Disney powerhouse flick began to open overseas, but in North America (where it has yet to open), "Think Like a Man" was able to top the box office for a second weekend with a relatively soft $18 million.

"The Avengers" was #1 in all 39 foreign territories where it opened, taking in $178.4 million around the world. The superhero team-up flick that unites Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye set box-office records in places like Mexico, Brazil, Taiwan, the Philippines and Hong Kong. "The Avengers" is now #9 on the all-time foreign-openings chart despite the fact that it has yet to open in China, Russia or Japan. It opens this weekend in the U.S.

Domestically, "Think Like a Man" faced competition from four new movies that all underwhelmed with their debuts.

"The Pirates! Band of Misfits" was #2 with $11.4 million. The stop-motion animation movie is the latest from Britain's Aardman Animation, whose "Arthur Christmas" opened at $12.1 million in November of last year. In positive news for the film, "Pirates!" has already recouped its estimated $50 million budget worldwide. At press time, it also enjoyed a 86 percent "Tomatometer" score on Rotten Tomatoes, which aggregates reviews from film critics. "It makes for an experience that, while geared toward younger, more fidgety audiences, has enough humor to keep Mom and Dad from falling asleep," The Washington Post reported.

"The Five Year Engagement" was a dud at fifth place with $11.16 million, much lower than director Nick Stoller's "Get Him to the Greek" ($17.5 million) and his previous collaboration with Jason Segel, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" ($17.7 million). "Engagement" producer Judd Apatow's "Bridesmaids" opened with $26.2 million last spring.

Jason Statham's "Safe" was #6 with $7.7 million, which was lower than the opening weekends for both his "The Mechanic" ($11.4 million) and "Killer Elite" ($9.4 million). Rounding out the weekend's new wide releases, "The Raven" was #7 with $7.3 million. The movie stars John Cusack as a fictionalized version of Edgar Allan Poe.

"Think Like a Man," featuring a story based on the self-help book from comedian Steve Harvey, has earned $60.9 million in two weeks against an estimated production budget of just $12 million. Zac Efron's "The Lucky One" dipped to #3 on the box-office chart with $11.3 million in its second weekend for a two-week gross of $39.9 million. "The Hunger Games" was #4 with $11.3 million. The first entry in the planned trilogy has made $372.5 million domestically to date.

Of the movies in the top seven, only "Pirates!," "The Hunger Games" and "The Five-Year Engagement" have done well with critics. Reviews for "The Raven," which was directed by James McTeigue ("V for Vendetta"), have been particularly harsh. "It's just a bore; quoth the raven, 'Go see something else,' " wrote Associated Press movie writer David Germain.

Which movies are brave enough to do battle with "Marvel's The Avengers" this weekend? Smaller, limited-release films like "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" (starring Tom Wilkinson, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench and Bill Nighy), horror flick "Mother's Day" (from the maker of the second, third and fourth "Saw" movies) and Miley Cyrus' "LOL" will be the only movies attempting to sneak in under the radar alongside what is sure to be one of the year's biggest movies.

Critics are already heaping praise on "The Avengers," which follows on the heels of the already well-reviewed precursor Marvel movies "Iron Man" (94 percent Tomatometer), "The Incredible Hulk" (66 percent), "Iron Man 2" (74 percent), "Thor" (77 percent) and "Captain America: The First Avenger" (79 percent). Christie Lemire of The Associated Press proclaimed, "The dialogue sparkles as brightly as the special effects; these people may be wearing ridiculous costumes but they're well fleshed-out underneath. And so in every regard, this movie truly fulfills its hype." Justin Chang of Variety agreed: "Like a superior, state-of-the-art model built from reconstituted parts, [director/co-writer] Joss Whedon's buoyant, witty and robustly entertaining superhero smash-up is escapism of a sophisticated order."

Check out everything we've got on "The Hunger Games," "Think Like a Man" and "The Avengers."

Electrons Can Split Into Two [Science]

Until now, electrons have been regarded as elementary particles—which means that scientists thought they had no component parts or substructure. But now, electrons have been observed decaying into two separate parts—causing physicists to rethink what they know about the particles. More »

Dolby 3D on prototype 4K display and HTC Evo 3D hands-on (video)

http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/18/dolby-3d-hands-on/

Truth be told, we haven't been wildly impressed with the glasses-free 3D solutions we've seen to date, be it because of the limited viewing angles, unconvincing picture or lack of availability here in the US. That could soon change, however, if Dolby's version of the three-dimensional experience makes its way to a production-ready television set. Best known for its audio technologies, the company just launched its own 3D standard in cooperation with Philips, called Dolby 3D. The platform-agnostic solution is far from ready to make its way into your living room, but it's conceptually sound, and the prototype 4K 3D TV and mobile versions being demonstrated at Dolby's NAB booth make us hopeful for the future. As with all displays -- especially those that support 3D -- you'll really need to see to believe, but we had an opportunity to do just that, and walked away very impressed.

The 56-inch 4K prototype display is viewable from nearly any angle, with 24 different viewpoints, though you'll really need to be front and center for the greatest 3D effect. Side viewing is certainly possible; you'll just sacrifice some depth in the process. Even from the front, 3D appears slightly muted compared to what we've seen with passive- and active-glasses equivalents, though we can't say that we mind much, considering that the image is still dramatic enough when you need it to be, such as when displaying scenes with significant depth. The company was also demonstrating Dolby 3D on an HTC Evo 3D along with a nondescript tablet, where an on-screen slider lets you dim the three-dimensional intensity just as you would adjust the volume, enabling you to customize the experience to suit your needs. Since Dolby 3D is merely a display standard, we won't be seeing any branded televisions or smartphones, though perhaps we'll see some third-party adaptations come CES 2013. Jump past the break to see it in action.

Dr. Dre Hopes Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye Follow 'Pac As Holograms

'Everybody's in love with it right now, so we're having fun,' Dre says of Holo-Pac's success.

Before Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg closed out Coachella on Sunday night, there were rumors that the long-deceased Tupac Shakur would make an appearance via hologram, but it truly took seeing to believe it.

In the days since, it's been confirmed that Holo-Pac was "Dr. Dre's Vision," and now the good doctor admits that he hopes to see the technology spread. TMZ caught up with Dre in Los Angeles, where he graciously — and enthusiastically — answered questions about the hologram, which has been described as his brainchild. Dre didn't give any predictions for how popular hologram performances might become, but he did reveal the next step, in terms of technology.

"I'm not sure right now, [there's] a technology that's happening where the hologram could be 360 degrees," Dre said, explaining how the hologram would likely evolve. "Right now it's flat, it just looks like it's 3-dimensional from the front, but I'm working on some new and different things for the future."

Dre seemed to be very proud of the success of Holo-Pac, adding, "I think everybody's in love with it right now, so we're having fun."

The legendary producer doesn't seem to be too invested in the moral debates about resurrecting dead musicians, saying that he hopes his hologram will inspire other spin-offs. "Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out their favorite artists," he said. "Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let's see what happens."

Before we see Jimi Hendrix onstage, however, the biggest hologram rumor in circulation is that Dre would take the holographic Tupac on tour, to which he replied, "Thinking about it, nothing for sure."

Earlier in the week, MTV News spoke with Nick Smith, president of AV Concepts, the San Diego company that provided the technology for the hologram. "We worked with Dr. Dre on this and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life," Smith said. "It was his idea from the very beginning and we worked with him and his camp to utilize the technology to make it come to life."

Would you like to see the Tupac hologram on tour? Tell us in the comments!

A Celebrity Memoir Ghostwriter's FAQ ? Thought Catalog

Everyone has a story, but some stories are simply better than others, and as an ?ber-famous person, yours is one of the best, easily in the top three of all time. There?s The Bible, The Fountainhead, and Your Forthcoming Book. You and your manager want to confess your darkest, skankiest secrets to the world, but who has time to sit in a room and write them down? Imagine the toll on your body. It?s not like Tim Tebow wrote his memoir while quarterbacking for the Broncos or Bristol Palin polished drafts while dancing with the stars and rearing her child. They got one of their smart, religious, writerly friends to do it.

Ghostwriters, they?re called, including the nondenominational ones. The problem is ghostwriters are very different than you, the megastar. In fact, they?re completely the opposite. Here are some common questions about these mysterious ?people you must deal with to publish a book.?

My ghostwriter doesn?t look well. Is he/she sick?

Not likely. Most ghostwriters remain very pale from staying indoors all day. Their skin is nearly translucent and would be theoretically beautiful if it wasn?t dusted with mild acne. They prefer loose clothing, tend to mumble, and shift around when they walk. Really, it?s no accident they?re called ghostwriters! A good rule of thumb is the less healthy your ghostwriter looks, the harder working he or she will be. So don?t worry. It sounds like you snagged a fantastic ghostwriter.

My ghostwriter seems so very sad. Why?

Great question. Ghostwriters are emotionally haunted people. There is no one reason, only various theories. In his or her spare time, your ghostwriter writes other more personal things, which obviously don?t pay the bills. Never under any circumstances should you read your ghostwriters ?literary? work, or you will begin to toe the depressing gulf between art and commerce your ghost is trapped inside. You see, in the same way real life ghosts are condemned to haunt one area, all writers, including ghostwriters, have one central issue they ?circle around.? Think of it as their persona, only not lucrative like yours. Your persona evolves with each album, movie, or TV season, and the public demands more, in the form of money! Writers can?t help but write about one thing. Again, we know not why. Even the fanciest, most respected ghostwriter is slogging away at a book that will sell only a fraction of what yours will.

Not to put your ghostwriter down. That they try deserves admiration. However, the topics they tackle tend to be really depressing. Imagine sitting at a desk all day, obsessing over war and animal cruelty, like Hemingway did. Now replace Hemingway with your no name ghostwriter and war with a made-up family living in Connecticut. Exactly. Wouldn?t you be sad too? Consider it a service you?re doing for these forlorn spirits. Your ghostwriter is undoubtedly thrilled to walk three hundred pages in your expensive shoes. He/she just has a hard time showing it, because of a latent personality disorder.

Can I lie to my ghostwriter?

Please! Did you get to where you are today by not lying? Is it a lie to print ?by you? on the front cover, regardless of whether you also put ?with (someone who no one knows)? in tiny type? If human memory is fragile, then celebrity memory is super delicate gilded bone china filled with the finest cocaine. You can barely separate what happened at this year?s Teen and/or People?s Choice Awards. Do readers expect you to recount your rise to fame without elaborating on some details? Readers are bored, half-frightened, and most likely purchasing your book en masse at an airport or Wal-Mart. Rise from the ashes of your imagined difficult childhood. Be the complex person no one knows you may or may not be.

Can I have sex with my ghostwriter?

Some weirdo celebrities do sleep with normal civilians. In spite of their pallor, your ghostwriter may seem interesting and sensitive. But imagine the consequences of introducing your ghostwriter to your lifestyle. What if he/she uses your moisturizers? Then they?ll ask to borrow your car. Next they?ll be working out with your personal trainer and doing Transcendental Meditation with your live-in guru. It?s a dangerous game to play. If you can?t control your desires, the same rule applies to ghostwriters as it does to vampires: never let him/her cross the threshold to your dwelling. Intimacy should happen on neutral ground, like a hotel or in a supply closet at the publishing house.

My book is almost done. It looks like a lot of work and I don?t have time to read it. Do I have to?

Remember, this is your story! You?re the most qualified person to fudge your way through a meeting or three. Fallback critiques are ?the middle needs work,? ?it needs to be grittier,? and the crit/warning combo, ?should I just write the last chapter myself?? Make sure you nail the photo captions in those glossy pages that everyone can?t help but turn to when they?re deciding on whether to buy your book. Speaking of pictures, maybe you should just come up with a children?s book in five minutes and force your ghostwriter to work on that. Those things are selling like hotcakes. TC mark

A seat at history's counter in Greensboro, N.C.

The Woolworth lunch counter where students protested against desegregation in 1960 recently became the International Civil Rights Center & Museum.

? A local, slice-of-life story from a Monitor correspondent.

It all started here at the Woolworth lunch counter. But this cradle of student protests against desegregation in Greensboro, N.C., was not always given the same stature as the civil rights movement landmarks of Memphis, Tenn., and Selma and Montgomery, Ala., when historians described the sea change that shaped the new South.

But 50 years after the Feb. 1, 1960, sit-in, the site was rechristened in 2010 as the International Civil Rights Center & Museum, securing a place in history for the African-American college students, ?the Greensboro Four,? who refused to cede their seats at the whites-only counter.??

?I?m proud of the museum,? says Greensboro resident Ian Pawlowski, a 30-something who grew up when the city was still reeling from deadly Ku Klux Klan shootings. His family fought on both sides of the Civil War, but Mr. Pawlowski says that today the city is demographically and culturally mixed.

The Battlefield of Love: Domestic Violence ? Should The Definition ...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01dgh7j
At least 1 in 4 women in the UK will experience domestic violence in their lifetime, but is the term ?domestic violence? preventing women from seeking help, since many abusive relationships do not involve physical violence. A government consultation has just ended and asks whether the definition should be widened to include the phrase ?coercive control.? Jenni is joined by Sam Baker, Editor of Red Magazine, which has launched a campaign called Speak Up, Save A Life to draw attention to abusive relationships, and to Diana Barran, Chief Executive of the national charity Co-ordinated Action Against Domestic Abuse.

Could "coercive control" mean a tone in your voice or a glint in your eye?

It will mean that you, as a father and a husband, will no longer be allowed to persuade your wife or children about some important moral issue in a way that would make them feel uncomfortable or harassed. ?Indeed, you will no longer be allowed to hurt their feelings to make a point. ?

I think living in a police state would be more fun than living in terror of your wife and children in your own home. ?But if you feel like abdicating all parental and masculine authority, then go right ahead and let Dame Jenni and her ilk piss all over you.

First-of-its-kind discovery used revolutionary data crunching computer program running on 48 computer processors for 4 weeks to complete 32 billion searches

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Analyzing massive amounts of data officially became a national priority recently when the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy announced the Big Data Research and Development Initiative. A multi-disciplinary team of University of Missouri researchers rose to the big data challenge when they solved a major biological question by using a groundbreaking computer algorithm to find identical DNA sequences in different plant and animal species.

"Our algorithm found identical sequences of DNA located at completely different places on multiple plant genomes," said Dmitry Korkin, lead author and assistant professor of computer science. "No one has ever been able to do that before on such a scale."

"Our discovery helps solve some of the mysteries of plant evolution," said Gavin Conant, co-author and assistant professor of animal sciences. "Basic research on the plant genome provides raw materials and improves techniques for creating medicines and crops."

Previous studies found long strings of identical code in different species of animals' DNA. But before this new MU research, which was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, computer programs had never been powerful enough to find identical sequences in plant DNAs, because the identical sections weren't found at the same points.

The genomes of six animals (dog, chicken, human, mouse, macaque and rat) were compared to each other. Likewise, six plant species (Arabidopsis, soybean, rice, cottonwood, sorghum and grape) were compared to each other. Comparing all the genetic sequences took 4 weeks with 48 computer processors doing 1 million searches per hour for a grand total of approximately 32 billion searches.

Although the scientists found identical sequences between plant species, just as they did between animals, they suggested the sequences evolved differently.

"You would expect to see convergent evolution, but we don't," Conant said. "Plants and animals are both complex multi-cellular organisms that have to deal with many of the same environmental conditions, like taking in air and water and dealing with weather variations, but their genomes code for solutions to these challenges in different ways."

The MU team's research laid the groundwork for future studies into the reasons plants and animals developed different genetic mechanisms and how they function. Their basic research created a foundation for discoveries that may improve human life. Besides advancing genetic science's potential to fight disease, the code-analyzing computer program itself could help in the development of new medicines.

"The same algorithm can be used to find identical sequential patterns in an organism's entire set of proteins," said Korkin. "That could potentially lead to finding new targets for existing drugs or studying these drugs' side effects."

The PNAS paper, titled "Long Identical Multispecies Elements in Plant and Animal Genomes," involved collaboration between the Universities of Missouri, California and Arizona. The computer algorithm was developed by Jeff Reneker, a senior research informatician at MU's Center for Computational Biology and Medicine, during his doctoral study at the MU Computer Science Department under the supervision of Chi-Ren Shyu, Director of the MU Informatics Institute.

Fixing problem relationships | Vin DiCarlo

Can you help me with my relationship? I feel like my girlfriend resents me. She never has time for me. She doesn?t want to do anything affectionate. To be honest, we?re not having sex that often. Where did I go wrong??

She?s a pretty cool chic. At the start, she was really into me, so I know there are some things that I have done wrong to make this happen. Can I turn things around? Is it possible?

It is very possible to turn things around. You must take responsibility for yourself. You must take a hard look at your contribution to the relationship. Are you neglecting her? Are you spending enough time with her? Is she giving you warning signs that you are not picking up on? Think about yourself. Think about what you could be doing to improve the relationship.

Next, start communicating with her. You don?t know what she is feeling unless you ask her. Find out. You need to get her to communicate with you so that she pours her heart out to you. Keep things open. Work together on getting the relationship back on track.

You must understand that relationships are not easy; they are something that you need to work on. Sometimes, when we meet a girl, we feel like everything is going to take care of itself. However, a good relationship must be worked on. It must be built. It must be maintained.

Start taking time to work on your relationship. You need to learn how to build a better relationship between the two of you. Set rules. Set up things in your relationship that are going to make it stronger. One of these things could include making time where just the two of you go out (as if were a first date again). Don?t ever stop dating your girlfriend; always aim to keep the romance alive.

Make sure there is kindness and compassion in your relationship. We all get angry with our partners. Sometimes we can even become passive aggressive over time, especially if things are building up inside of us. It is very worthwhile to allow all of the stuff that is in us to come out, which will allow us to have more of an open heart for each other. This will bring kindness and compassion back into the relationship.

Communication is essential. I know, in my previous relationship, when communication was not going so great, we started being very passive aggressive towards each other. We would get drunk, and would then tell each other how we really felt. This was not a healthy approach. It happened this way, because we were not communicating correctly.

If neither of you are good communicators, then you should consider seeking help from a third party. Get help from someone who can see the relationship from an objective point-of-view and who has experience working with couples. Couples counseling could be the very thing you need to learn how to communicate with your girlfriend, how to open up with her, and to identify what issues need to be addressed.

Straight From The Source: Dr. Strangeloop | Thrash Lab

Expand your knowledge on Dr. Strangeloop, David Wexler ? Los Angeles based visual artist and content curator for the mind-expanding media channel of Future Cinema pieces. Strangeloop exposes his great taste through his media channel DMTV and through StrangeloopTV he shares a mass library of his own original rich visual video creations.

What inspired the creation of DMTV? I was putting together an on-going series of Shorts called the Future Cinema Series, they played as interludes between acts at the Brainfeeder Sessions in LA. This was a series we were putting together in the Downtown Independent movie theatre. I hit up some of my favorite contemporary motion-graphics designers / media-makers and to my surprise we were able to get a lot of these incredible films from around the world together to screen for LA audiences. I?m a huge fan of cinema, and what I guess I?d call New-Cinema or Future-Cinema, a definite genre that I can identify online ? almost a whole category of new shorts born from tech-savvy graphics designers stretching the limits of their minds, dabbling
in the hyper-real possibilities of motion graphics, the blurry haze between our sci-fi and our contemporary world, invisible worlds within our world which can be expressed in computer models. For me, I just put a banner on a lot of the things and call them Future-Cinema. DMTV, while also being a call for Mind-Expanding media, is really a collection of Shorts which I see as a part of a genre of cinema which is individuating itself from the broad aesthetics of the field of Motion Graphics. Brilliant artists like Scott Pagano, J.P. Frenay, Semiconductor, exemplify this world for me.

Have you found any particular ways the worlds of audio and visual overlap? They always overlap, and it is more and more evident in our era. All music can be interpreted as visual data and all visions can be interpreted as musical patterns. In a contemporary context, its all code which can be cut-up, transposed, re-defined. For me, different media have no exclusivity, in my mind they get all wrapped up with one another, and inspire one another, a song inspires a vision, a vision makes me think of a song ? sometimes I have this very romantic idea that we?re all synesthetic but have forgotten how to perceive the world in a holistic manner. I?m curious if I can train myself to be more synesthetic.

What has been the most challenging project you have had to work on in your career? Developing content for Skrillex, and working with a much larger team, has been a great challenge. Certainly some of the most technically demanding and rewarding projects I?ve worked on has been with the Skrillex ? with the Cell, his projection mapping / motion capture / stage show ? it was like working with the most sophisticated visual tools that exists, but inevitably tools that were being updated and designed as we?re going on the road with them! Phil Reyneri, one of the genius touch-designers on the team, was creating the interface for the system so that I could fly on it, updating it as we traveled through Europe to incorporate the latest features being developed. I love the whole Skrillex crew because they continually push the envelope and I get to rise to meet the challenges of wholly new set-ups that have never been executed before. They?re not fucking around, they wanna bring the shows to a whole-other, basically sci-fi, level ? which is great to be a part of.

Who would be your dream artist to work with? I?m working with some of them for sure :D Though I?d love to work with Aphex Twin, Bjork, Sigur Ros. Sigur Ros makes such beautiful music. It would be incredible to design a show for their sounds. There is so many extraordinary artists out there, I feel like I always get to work with the people I?m supposed to work with ? I feel blessed.

Who/what was your biggest artistic influence growing up? I always loved the Visionary arts, work inspired by mystical states. Alex Grey, Leigh McCloskey, Ernst Fuchs ? its hard to pinpoint one person, visual artist, film-maker, musician. I?ve always been curious about the aesthetics of other dimensions, how can you communicate things through art that you experience, but have little or no cultural analogue. Seemingly alien things that may be a deep part of our collective reality, but things we?ve lost touch with. I?ve always liked art where I feel that mapping process going on, where I feel the invisible showing itself, and something from beyond culture arriving into our minds at the right moment.

What/who is on your radar right now? THEO ELSWORTH // artist behind Flying Lotus?s ?Pattern Grid World? album, made an incredible book called Capacity ? highly recommended.

What is an inspirational quote or lyric you want to leave off with? ?Dream in a pragmatic way.? -Aldous Huxley-

We recommend that you indulge a few of you internet browsing minutes on the visual artist Dr. Strangeloop. Expect to see more then just your typical stoner-trippy graphics -Strangeloop will deliver you a visual presentation your entire body will feel good watching.

Sarah Jones, Former NFL Cheerleader & High School Teacher, Accused of Sexually Abusing Student

Sarah Jones, a high school teacher and a one-time captain of the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals cheerleaders (the Ben-Gals, if you will) has been accused of sex abuse.

She and her mother, a middle school principal who allegedly covered up the crime, both entered pleas of not guilty during their arraignment on Monday.

Sarah Jones has been charged with sexual abuse of a student, on top of unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities.

Cheerleader Sarah Jones Mug Shot

Jones' mother, Cheryl, is accused of tampering with evidence in connection with her daughter's case. Cheryl is currently suspended from her job.

Both Sarah and Cheryl were arrested following a grand jury investigation.

At the courthouse Monday the pair was joined by a dozen supporters, including the family of the alleged victim, according to ABC News affiliate WCPO.

Though the alleged victim's family supports Sarah Jones, Jefferson County Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Sarah Farmer said the case would continue.

"The commonwealth feels we have sufficient proof to go forward," Farmer said.

At the arraignment, Judge Patricia Summe ordered Sarah and Cheryl Jones to avoid contact with the alleged victim and to disable text messaging.

Forensic evidence for the case, taking place in Kenton County, Ky., was collected by taking Sarah Jones' computers and phone records.

The trial date for both Sarah and Cheryl Jones was set for June 27.
