Bmi Regional is to cancel its East Midlands-Frankfurt flights from next month.
The independent airline currently operates on the route six times per week but the service will end from September 2. The carrier uses an Embraer ERJ135 aircraft with 37 seats on the route.
Bmi Regional CEO Cathal O?Connell said: ?After careful review of our route network, including performance of individual routes we have taken the decision to withdraw services between East Midlands and Frankfurt, effective as of September 2, 2013.
?We remain committed to the German market and will continue to operate direct flights from Bristol to Hamburg, Hannover, Frankfurt and Munich, as well as the Toulouse to Bremen service.?
The last flights on the East Midlands-Frankfurt route will operate on September 1. All passengers with reservations after this date will be contacted and offered ?alternative routing?.
Bmi Regional also operates flights to Brussels from East Midlands.
