Pardot's Favorite Blogs by Industry Thought Leaders | Marketing ...

Favorite Thought Leader BlogsBuilding on last week?s post about Pardot?s favorite marketing blogs, this week we?re going to focus on some of our favorite blogs by industry thought leaders. If you have any down time in the evening, curl up on a couch and take a look at some of these blogs to get advice and insight from the people who have been there, done that.

Seth Godin

One of the most obvious choices for this list, Seth Godin?s blog covers not only marketing, but ideas, leadership, and thoughts for change. His blog is one of the most widely-read blogs written by a single individual, and he publishes content about five days a week. One of the stand-out features of Seth Godin?s blog is the fact that he manages to pack an incredible amount of insight into posts that are often only a few sentences long. If you like easily-digestible material, this blog is for you.

If you?ve never visited Seth Godin?s blog, his recent post,?The simple power of one day,? will give you a good feel for the type of content he distributes.

Another thought leader in the marketing industry is Matt Heinz of Heinz Marketing, an agency based in Seattle that focuses on sales acceleration. The Matt on Marketing blog provides more general posts related to content, sales, events, and the marketing industry. While the posts on this blog are longer than those on Seth Godin?s, they dive a bit deeper into specific marketing categories.

Here?s a fun post to look at whenever you have some spare time: ?Fifteen questions to answer now for 2013.?

Chris Brogan

If you?re interested more specifically in social media, technology, career advice and business, Chris Brogan?s blog is a good place to start. In addition to his normal posts, he also includes more personal stories about his experiences running a business, along with video content like book reviews. Tune in to read the 2-4 posts that he puts out on a weekly basis, and spend some time perusing his other content.

A post that stood out to us on Chris Brogan?s blog was, ?How can I build my self-confidence?? While it?s not about marketing or technology, he offers some helpful personal advice that we can all take into consideration while pursuing careers in the marketing industry.

HBR is more of a collection of thought leaders than a blog devoted to the musings of one particular thought leader. What makes this blog different from the others is its focus on business, career advice, sales, money, and fostering a positive work environment. The blog publishes posts multiple times per week, and often several times per day, so there?s always plenty of fresh content to go around.

An article that we liked is called, ?The Rise of Coworking Office Spaces.? Check it out if you get a chance!

Hopefully by now, you?ve started building out your RSS feed with blogs that interest you. Check back next week to see more of Pardot?s favorite blogs!
