Wind Walk, predicted to be the greenest community in Canada when it is built, is still working toward solving water access disputes that have held up development.
The project, which is being undertaken by TV celebrity renovator Mike Holmes, has been working with some local builders through the Holmes Approved program to ensure they are all on board and ready to construct to a high sustainable standard.
Included in the chosen builders for Wind Walk near Okotoks are Lifestyle Homes, Greenboro Homes, Taradar Fine Homes and Avalon Master Builder.
?With the technology-based system and the deal with Enmax where they can actually sell energy back to the grid, it?s truly the next step forward. I believe it?s going to be the catalyst for future sustainable developments in the region and maybe the nation,? says Ryan Armstrong, general manager for Lifestyle Homes.
