I don?t talk a lot about fitness and running on ModlyChic but it has become a pretty big part of my life since starting this blog and every now and again I feel like sharing a little about this aspect of me. But for those of you who come here only for the fashion stuff, I put this post on the weekend so it wouldn?t interrupt the normal flow of posts. LOL.
While I was in California, while it was vacation, I couldn?t imagine not running and working out. That is restful to me and I get antsy when I don?t have the chance to do it. Well, luckily the Novato and San Francisco area is perfectly suited for a runner and hiker like me! I went running along the roads to this trail several times.
And for longer and higher-impact hikes I headed to the trails along Point Reyes. One day, with two friends, I did a 15-mile hike in and out of the woods and along the water. These are the scenes we saw along the way? stunning in every sense of the word. I?m pretty sure I?d be content hiking and running these paths my whole life. I think it would amaze me each and every time.
(PS In the middle of the hike my sandwich decided to leak through its wrapping and the lunch bag I had it packed in. When I discovered it was leaving a trail of mayonnaise all over my things I walked around carrying the lunchbag over my head through tall weeds and shrubs until we finally found a spot to stop for lunch. Oops.)
PPS I had already killed my camera by this point so all of these photos were taken with my phone? not bad for a little Droid.
