Three South Lake baseball players sign with colleges

Matt Joyce, Jonathan Cox and Matt Parisi, all three recent graduates from Groveland South Lake, have signed with college baseball programs.

Joyce signed an academic scholarship with Daytona State College, but is expected to play baseball there. Cox signed with Palm Beach State College and Parisi has signed with Dartmouth University and will receive a full academic/athletic scholarship to the Ivy League school, South Lake coach Kerry Whetro indicated in an email.

Joyce graduated with a 3.8-GPA and is?expected to study health and medicine. Cox had a 3.2-GPA? and will study business. Parisi, who was South Lake?s MVP for two seasons, had a 4.5-GPA and will eventually major in economics.
